Ealing Croquet Club

We celebrated our 30th Birthday in fine style on Sunday 2nd December in the pavilion. In true Ealing style, this was only about six months late, as the general consensus was that the club would have started at the beginning of the croquet season in May.
However, the day was all the sweeter for the wait, and we were duly treated to a splendid spread by Susan Stephenson, who laid on bunting, candles (electric, to conform to Health & Safety), mince pies, mulled wine and a magnificent birthday panettone.
Some hardy members even played croquet earlier in the afternoon.
There was further cause for celebration, as we had heard a couple of days before that our application to register as a Charity was successful. Many thanks to Chris Studdert for all his efforts in pushing this through. It should be a big help in seeing us through the challenges of the next 30 years.
