On April 2nd two external coaches, Ian Shore of High Wycombe and Richard Carline of Sussex County, came to give us an update on the extensive 2019 changes to the Golf Croquet rules, followed by a skills sessions on the lawns, ably supported by Carole McLoughlin.
The lawns are in exceptional condition for this time of year.
The occasion was enlivened by the presence of Richard’s magnificent home-constructed swing trainer, which he brought up from Sussex in sections and reassembled on the lawn. One group of passers-by in the park asked if it was a piece of sculpture!
